Alexandra Beller
'90, dancer and choreographer, will perform in Drink Me as part
of "New Stuff" at P.S. 122 Performance Space, 150 First Avenue at
East 9th Street in Manhattan. Alex is also featured in an article
"Amazine
Grace" in the April 28 issue of The New York Times Magazine.

After an exhausting
nine-team double elimination tournament, Motley Crew, led by tournament
MVP Tony Manza emerged as the undefeated champion in the first annual
Townsend Harris Intramural Basketball Reunion.

A total of 57
alumni and friends registered to play and with enthusiastic support
from spectators this event raised more than $1,000 for the Townsend
Harris Forever! Athletics Fund, an endowment which supports the
athletic programs at the high school. Huge, special thanks to Wanda
Nix and Adam Stonehill for their excellent officiating and to Jonathan
Boltax '90 and Jonathan Isler '90 for organizing the event.

Basketball Update: Last Chance to Register
So far nine full
teams have registered to play in the reunion intramural basketball
tournament on April 28. Don't miss this chance to relive the glory
days. This will be an exciting event!

Partnership Meeting: 10 am, Sunday, April 28
The Alumni Association
and the Townsend Harris Parent Teacher Association are holding a
special breakfast meeting on Sunday April 28 to discuss the natural
partnership of the two organizations in supporting Townsend Harris
High School. All alumni are welcome. To RSVP, contact RSVP at thaa.org
The joint partnership meeting will take place at the high school
at 149-11 Melbourne Avenue on the southwest corner of the Queens
College campus. Join us for breakfast and to learn how the alumni
association works to support Townsend Harris High School and its

future in a very narrow world.
Dangling Fruits of Joy, or How to Make Love,
featuring Tarek Halaby, Jill Locke, Brendan McCall and LiYana Silver,
with narration by Alexandra Beller, dissects the mythologies of
the sexes and deconstructs the social mores of the past 50 years.
Text includes a 1936 love manual, 1955 Good Housekeeping article
and the 1995 misogynist classic, The Rules. Music by Tom Waits,
Nina Simone, and Louis Armstrong.
Sifting Miracles, performed by Alexandra Beller, walks into and
through the empty space left by an absent lover. Danced to text
by Mark Strand and music by Dvorak.
Or Are You Just Happy to See Me, featuring Megan Brunsvold,
Sarah Carlson, Gretchen Pallo, Greta Parsons, LiYana Silver and
Anna Smith is a sassy, sexy, defiant look at the urban landscape
and the streetwar between the sexes. Danced to the music of Tom
Waits.
50 Ways to Find a Mate, featuring Alexandra Beller,
Toby Billowitz, Megan Brunsvold, Sarah Carlson, Tracy Dickson, Justin
Donham, Christopher Healy, Mira Kingsley, Adam Klotz, Christina
May, Toni Melaas, Brian Reid, and LiYana Silver, examines the hilarity
and tragedy of human mating habits. Wild, racy, outrageous, hilariously
perverted.

Update: Townsend Harris Faculty Luncheon
is at noon Monday, Jan. 28
The
luncheon will be held at noon. All alumni are invited to attend
a luncheon to meet the Townsend Harris High School faculty and staff
on Monday, Jan. 28. The luncheon will be held at the high school
on the Queens College campus, at
149-11 Melbourne Avenue in Flushing, Queens.

The new school building is located at 149-11 Melbourne Avenue on
the southwest corner of the Queens College campus.
Public transportation:
The school is easily accessible by city bus (Q44) from the Main
Street, Flushing or Jamaica transportation hubs.
By car:
Take the L.I.E. eastbound to Main Street or westbound to Kissena
Boulevard. Parking as you may recall is difficult. Use the Student
Union indoor lot for a minimal fee.
